Twillingate trip June 2017

With ice conditions not seen in over 40 years Twillingate was a fabulous place to spend a week visiting my innkeeper friends Wilma and Deborah at the Anchor Inn Hotel. Just a fabulous hotel with harbour views, a real Newfoundland pub, fantastic food, and smiling staff. You feel at home.

You could spend weeks exploring the old stages & boats, root cellars & beaches that abound in Twillingate but ice was my main wish and Captain Cec known locally as the Iceberg Man provided the first of season iceberg tour and it was magical .. such heavy ice left little room to steer the boat but the ice-scapes were breathtaking. Even had a visit from ice Yoda.

A wonderful few days, thank you so much.
